Five Minute Friday: Wait

One of my goals this year is to write more. Not just for blogging purposes, but because I believe it is therapeutic and a necessity deep down in my soul.

So I’m going to start doing Five Minute Friday’s again!

This weeks prompt is WAIT

The Dr. Seuss book “Oh The Places You’ll Go”. Have you ever read it? It’s one of my favorite books. Like, ever. I love how it talks about how everyone “hurries up to wait”.

We do, ya know?

We hurry to grow up. Hurry to find a career. Hurry to get married. Hurry to have babies. Then we wait for those babies to grow up. We wait to get “old”.

I don’t want to hurry up and wait. I wan’t to live every moment fully. Passionately. Completely. Whether it’s good or bad. I want to FEEL each moment. To  see the wonder in my children’s eyes when they learn. To feel their unconditional and whole love.  I want to be intentional in everything I do. (maybe I just found my word for 2015?! Intentional hmmm….)

I want to be content in all my circumstances (Philippians 4:11-13)

Well there ya have it.

Living intentionally…such a good goal. And so hard! I’m pulling for you as you rejoin Five-Minute Friday and try to live in the moment…and I’m glad I got to visit you today. 🙂
