Pregnancy Update: 35 Weeks

I’m 35 weeks today! Woohoo! I’m definitely having stronger Braxton Hicks contractions now. Getting a little painful sometimes. Never close together or anything though 😉

My baby shower was last weekend and it was SO wonderful! A lot of people weren’t able to make it but it was still such a special and fun gathering celebrating this new little boy! I couldn’t have asked for better friends and family!

I had 2 NST’s (non-stress tests) this week (that’s just how my doc does it) and every time baby is doing GREAT! I’m so thankful for that. It is beginning to be my meditation/relaxation time. I’ve almost fallen asleep a couple of times, haha. I’m also measuring right on track now. No more measuring 6 weeks ahead! Praise God for that too! I have my regular appointments next week and an ultrasound to see how big baby boy is and if he has moved into position on Tuesday.

Now for the GD. the nutritionist has “release” me from her care. She said that I’m doing great keeping it under control with diet and exercise. YAY! I still need to follow the diet and test 4x a day but I no longer have to write down every morsel of food I eat. Which is making some stress go away. My FBS (fasting blood sugar) have been a little higher. All 100 or under though. I’m hoping it’s just because I’ve been extra tired and had a bit of a tummy bug the past couple days. I have changed my night time snack so I may change it back to cottage cheese. Just in case, I’m trying to get a little more exercise in, and a little more apple cider vinegar and cinnamon wherever/whenever I can. I may also start cutting back a little more on my carbs. I really don’t want to have to be put on meds. I only have 2-4 more weeks left and I really want to handle this all the way through with diet and exercise. I’m telling you though, on my way home from the hospital after delivering this precious little boy, I’m so stopping at my favorite local cupcakery! Every time I pass it on my way home from my appointments I want to drive over there so bad. Which is funny because normally I don’t crave sweets that often. I think being told I’m not “allowed” to have those things makes me want them.

We are working on getting the house clean and ready for little man. It’s slowly but surely getting there. I’m VERY ready to meet him! Nervous about labor, sure. Still very ready to meet him.
