Little Man is now 9 weeks old! How time flies! I’m enjoying every minute of being a mom x 3. It can be stressful, loud, and crazy, but these kids. They fill my heart with so much happiness and love! I just can’t get enough of them! (Ok sometimes I can haha)
So on to my Top 5 Items You Need To Survive The Newborn Weeks! Ya know, other than the diapers, wipes, and clothes!
Bamboobies Boob-Ease Pads
These babies are amazing!! They are large, and so soothing! I love how versatile they are and the fact that you can totally use them for other reasons as well! Can’t say enough good about these. They are just so wonderful for those days when your supply is regulating and you may be engorged.
Bamboobies Nursing Pads
These are the PERFECT nursing pads! They are so incredibly soft. They hold a lot of liquid gold (if only I could squish it out into a Baggie to freeze it in lol) and don’t leak through! Did I mention how SOFT they are?!
Aden & Anais Muslin Blankets
My awesome Sister-In-Love introduces me to these blankies after she got them for her baby boy! They are so breathable which makes them absolutely perfect. They are quite versatile as well, as you can use them as a nursing cover, a burp cloth, a car seat cover… The possibilities are endless since these are such a decent size.
Some sort of carrier. Whether it be a MOBY Wrap, a Tula (with infant insert), a ring sling or a woven wrap. Yah just need something! I used a MOBY wrap with my first two and longed for something else I could use but I didn’t know much about baby wearing, nor did I have the resources I do now. With this baby I now have 4 different carries. Yes I’m addicted now 🙂 the choice is yours but I highly recommend a ring sling or wrap in the beginning. Make sure you find a knowledgeable Babywearer that you trust to help you learn how to properly wear. We have a local group that is on Facebook and meets up in various places. It also has a lending library so you can test out new carriers before you buy them. It’s super helpful! I’ll share all the amazing benefits of baby wearing in another post.
My top item for surviving the newborn weeks (well to have period) is an Arms Reach Co-Sleeper Bassinet! We have the mini and it is perfect for us 🙂 I love that we can use the top until Little One can sit up and once they reach that point we can put the top down and use it! Such a perfect bed, it’s so much easier for me to sleep when I know they’re right next to me in their perfect little bed and I can see/hear/touch them, whenever I want/need to. We don’t have enough space in our room for a regular sized one or we’d have that. My sister has that one and has used it for all of her kiddos. We have used ours for all 3 of our kiddos as well! They are well worth it!
So are any of these items on your must have list for the newborn weeks? If not, what is?
